FRS (Facial Recognition Systems) falls into two main categories: 2D and 3D:
- 2D Systems generally operate on coordinate mapping (e.g. the location and identification of specific points on a face - also known as Eigenfaces).
- 3D Systems utilize the whole face and not just specific points. The AWT Solution's 3D access control system is based on an artificial neural network which not only processes data much faster, but also has the amazing capability to learn to recognize your face better each time you use the system.
